On 13th-15th October 2014 the annual gathering of European Information Centres was held in Bonn about the future of the EU challenges. The issues discussed were:

• Lessons from the past: the fathers of the EU and the future of European integration, Ingo Espenschied, Political Scientist
• Prospects for European integration – strategic challenges for the new European leadership, John Emmanouilidis Programme European Policies and Institutions
• Comments regarding the European elections and future prospects, Juana Lahousse Juarez, Directorate General Communication, European Commission
• The interaction between the European Commission and EDICs, Ludolf van Hasselt, Directorate General Communication, European Commission.
