How well do you know your rights as an energy consumer?
The European Commission, through its Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER), is implementing the #UnlockYourPower information campaign, with the aim of helping citizens better understand their energy rights and the choices available to them.
Greece is one of the three countries where the campaign is being piloted, alongside Czechia and Spain.
The campaign focuses on practical issues that are part of energy consumers’ everyday lives, such as:
- understanding energy bills and accessing clear and transparent information,
- comparing available options and the possibility of switching suppliers,
- protecting vulnerable consumers and measures addressing energy poverty,
- access to smart meters and consumption data,
- active consumer participation in the energy transition,
- participation in energy communities.
The campaign is structured around three key pillars: The power to understand, the power to make decisions, and the power to participate.
